Capturing the Movement​

A translation of an orchestrating string music, Little Suites by String Instruments, by Carl Nielson. The incorporation of repetition of movements, the alternation of fastness and slowness is translated into 7 stacking models within a 2 weeks practice. Each of them has their own qualities of translation, I don’t label anyone of them as the final piece. Through this practice, I’m investigating the possibilities of those music qualities that can be translated into the form of space by carving it out from blank sheets of cardboards or museum boards Everything in this project is handmade or hand-drawn.
