Chinese Bracketing​
Chinese bracketing system in ancient architecture, also known as Chinese Dou-Gong, is a very sophisticated method of manufacturing and construction. Each member of wooden component is designed and assembled through a rigorous algorithm, without using any adhesive and fasteners.
The project is to study the bracketing system though digital modeling, simplification and eventually fabricate a mock up model using laser-cut acrylic and 3d-printed components.
